Children of a Dead Earth is actually a promising game from what I've heard since it's actually hard sci-fi space combat and everything like needing to spend time burning to get a close approach against the enemy. The game even lets you custom-design fission implosion devices!

17:17 That actually was a thing in the Allied Campaign in Red Alert. In the second Allied mission, you set up a base and eliminated a Soviet blockade for a convoy to get through but you actually return to said base in the fourth mission as the bridges you sabotaged in the third mission forced the Soviets to take a route through a mountain pass so whatever you had set up in the second mission can really help in the fourth.

I just beat the ps2 version of gu 1 earlier today. I almost died to this fight actually. All in all I've been having a great experience with gu so far. Currently on gu 2 and already hunting down aida forces feels like busywork. Just a small nitpick but it probably will bring down my enjoyment of avatar fights slightly

Hoping dd2 will be as good as 1 while also fixing/tuning all what needs to. Like necromancy, which imo shouldnt fade out after a time but only when all spirits were used (relatively i find the basic cast time too long for being worth the slot, when there are quicker deadly spells like miasma around). At least it really helps during night when you cant see shit and will be jumped by lot of things
